At the heart of the Church’s mission is Jesus’ powerful question and call to Peter in John 21:
“Do you love me? Then, feed my sheep.”
The FEED Framework™ equips churches to answer this divine commission with intentionality, compassion, and practical, biblically-grounded steps. Rooted in Scripture and informed by strategy, it’s a clear model to help churches meaningfully reach and disciple their communities.
The FEED Framework™ helps churches live out a clear, Christ-centered mission: to find the
lost, engage them with love, educate them in truth, and disciple them to maturity.
01

Find – Listen to the Cry of the Community
The first step in missional living is awareness—the intentional act of observing, listening, learning and discerning the real needs around you. Jesus constantly stopped to notice people others ignored: the blind man (John 9), the woman at the well (John 4), the crowd with no food (Mark 6).
Churches today must begin by asking: What are the spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical needs in our neighborhood?
“When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”
Matthew 9:36
Conduct a community needs assessment
Get to know neighbors, business owners, and community leaders
Observe demographic trends and local data
Pray for eyes to see what Jesus sees
02
Engage – Build Authentic Relationships
Jesus didn’t start with a task list—He started with a heart check. “Do you love me?” He re-centered Peter not on performance, but on relationship. And only then did He call him to care for others.
Engagement begins by entering people’s lives with presence, empathy, and compassion. Like Jesus, who dined at tables with "sinners" (Luke 5:30), comforted the grieving (John 11:35), and blessed children (Mark 10:13-16), we’re called to connect relationally.
“Jesus said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’ ... ‘Then take care of my sheep.’”
John 21:16
Create rhythms of hospitality (meals, gatherings, shared spaces)
Learn the real needs of your community
Celebrate stories of authentic connection
Equip the church to love people before “fixing” them

03
Educate – Lead People into Truth and Purpose
After connecting relationally, we invite people into the journey of spiritual discovery and formation. This is more than information—it’s transformation. Jesus continually taught in ways that invited curiosity, dialogue, and growth (Mark 4:33-34). He gave people both truth and time.
In this step, the church becomes a learning community of people exploring Scripture, processing doubt and faith, discovering their spiritual gifts, and growing in their identity in Christ.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them... and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
Matthew 28:19–20
Create accessible pathways for spiritual formation
Offer specialized groups, Bible studies, and Q&A spaces
Integrate spiritual gifts and purpose discovery into education
Measure growth not by attendance, but by transformation

04
Disciple – Multiply Faithful Followers of Jesus
Jesus didn’t just teach—He invited His followers to live differently. Discipleship is the long, relational, and sacrificial journey of helping people become more like Jesus and lead others to do the same. When Jesus restored Peter, He didn’t merely forgive him—He commissioned him to feed others.
True discipleship ends not in self-fulfillment but in missional multiplication. A disciple becomes a disciple-maker.
“What you have heard from me... entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.”
2 Timothy 2:2
Form small discipleship cohorts with clear expectations
Equip leaders to mentor others and multiply influence
Define a “discipleship pathway” for every person
Move from teaching content to modeling lifestyle

The FEED Framework™ More Than a Strategy
The FEED Framework™ is not a quick fix, a church growth tactic, or a new curriculum. It is a response to the call of Jesus:
“Do you love me? Then feed my sheep.” (John 21:17)
It is:
A way to love others deeply by meeting them where they are
A path to grow purposefully through truth and relationship
A method to lead faithfully by raising up disciple-makers
When lived out, the FEED Framework™ produces lasting transformation in individuals, communities, families, and future generations.
The FEED Framework™ gives churches a replicable path to live out their mission: to love God and love all leading people toward Christlike maturity. Combined with strategic clarity and the right infrastructure, any church can grow in health, influence, and impact.
It’s not about doing more. It’s about doing what matters—faithfully, fruitfully, and for the glory of God.
